Skidding Investigations

To facilitate routine monitoring of the highway network, we are able to offer the following services:

•	Planning, organisation and analysis of SCRIM surveys.
•	Compilation and maintenance of ‘Site Category’ database.
•	Advice on the interpretation of SCRIM results.
•	Presentation of SCRIM data in both Excel spreadsheet and HMDIF format for loading into pavement management systems and also as a thematic layer for display within various digital mapping packages.

In connection with road traffic skidding accidents, we can assess the condition of the road surface at the location of the incident and provide a factual report on the criteria used during routine monitoring of the highway, together with an opinion on the suitability of the surfacing materials used at the location.
